School Safety

Undoubtedly, school safety has changed since parents were their children’s ages in the 1980s and 1990s. Long gone are the days of minimal concerns around peanut butter sandwiches -- or ensuring a few fire drills were completed before the end of the year.

As we’ve seen on the news, school principals are now faced with a more complex set of issues that need to be planned for and routinely addressed on a regular basis to help keep our children and community safe.

In the interest of keeping parents and guardians informed -- our Principal, Mr. Galligan, is hosting a school safety forum for Warwick Neck School parents/guardians only (please, no children due to sensitive discussions and content) on Wednesday, March 1st at 6 PM at Warwick Neck School.

The district’s new Coordinator of Safety and Security, Retired Officer Danny Maggiacomo, will also be present to offer information and answer questions alongside Mr. Galligan.

Please RSVP with the school office by calling us at (401) 734-3480 if you plan on attending so we can ensure we have the proper space and number of seats available.
