Supportive Decision Making

The Warwick Special Education Advisory Committee (WSEAC), in collaboration with Disability Rights RI, will be hosting a session on Supported Decision Making on Wednesday, March 29th from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Warwick Veterans Middle School, 2401 West Shore Road, Warwick, RI.

Supported decision making (SDM) is a tool that allows people with disabilities to retain their decision-making capacity by choosing trusted advisors to help them make choices. The supporters agree to help the person with a disability understand, consider, and communicate decisions, giving the person with a disability the tools to make their own informed choices.

Parents, guardians, interested family members, and students are welcome to attend this session.
