K Orientation

As we have done in years past, we would like to give our Kindergarten families an additional, optional opportunity to meet their child's respective teacher in advance of the first day to help support our potentially nervous kindergarteners.

Please join us, outside, in front of the school (unfortunately, there are no classroom or building tours at this time due to ongoing interior work) on Friday, September 1st at 11 AM until 12 noon to meet Mrs. Morrissette, Mrs. Wade, and Ms. Regan, while dropping off school supplies, signing paperwork, and hearing important information about the first day and year ahead.

The visit is intended to be a quick visit, in addition to what was offered back in May, while allowing families to drop by with their child throughout the hour at their leisure.

Parents and families will be given an opportunity, thereafter, to see the classroom and school at our Fall Open House / Back to School & "Meet the Teachers" Night (tentatively) in two weeks on Tuesday, September 19th at 6PM. More information is forthcoming as we settle into our schoolyear.

We are so appreciative of the grassroot approach taken by community members to offer kindergarten playdates throughout the summer to ease the transition of our kids. Since these were planned after staff had departed and made commitments for the summer, we were unfortunately unable to sponsor - or be present for - these wonderful playground meet-ups (hence our email disclaimers). Despite this, we are gearing up for an exciting year of events and gatherings planned in collaboration with our PTA. Be on the lookout for these social opportunities very soon!

As a reminder, most of the information you need for a smooth first week can be found on our school website here -- and be sure to check out our "Entering Kindergarten" page with information provided back in May, here.

We cannot wait to see you -- and look forward to meeting you very soon!
