Veterans Tribute

For another year, Warwick Neck Elementary School partnered with the Warwick Neck Improvement Association to offer a Veterans Day Tribute.  The special ceremony was held on Thursday, November 9th at 10 AM. For the first time in many years, rain forced the outdoor program to be moved inside of the school auditorium, but that didn't diminish the spirit and great pride of the community.

The names of 136 area Veterans were read and applauded with gratitude. 5th grade student speakers: Marina Godbout, Noah Smith, Abigail McCluskey, and Tyler Mooney represented the school well — as did the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade student choruses.

Thank you to US Military Chaplain (Colonel) Robert Marciano; the event's keynote speakers: USCG Captain Clinton Prindle and (Ret.) AUS Lt. Colonel Gregg Langevin; the students for their seriousness and respect; and — most importantly — to the many Veterans for their bravery, sacrifices, and service to our country!
