Thank You

On Friday, March 1, 2024, Warwick Neck joined with schools across the district to raise funds for Landon, a Warwick student battling IPH (Idiopathic Pulmonary Hemosiderosis). Through the efforts of a Dress Down Day between faculty, staff, and students, $320 was raised at Warwick Neck to help support Landon in his journey to better health. (A link to the story highlighting the day at our school, along with information on how you can continue to donate if interested, can be found here.)

In response to the support provided and money raised, Mr. Galligan received the following message in a card of thanks on Wednesday, April 24th:

Dear Warwick Neck Community,

We are writing to express our sincerest gratitude for your support in our endeavor to work with doctors at UNC to find a cure for IPH (Idiopathic Pulmonary Hemosiderosis). Your contributions, whether big or small, will allow UNC to create a multicenter registry that will provide funding for the first ever study of this disease.

Landon's journey has touched the hearts of countless individuals, and this gesture is a testament to his story's impact. His courage and bravery have inspired a community to come together to help raise hope and awareness for children facing this incredibly rare disease.

As we continue our journey towards a cure, we are deeply grateful to have such a compassionate and supportive community standing alongside us. Your generosity inspires us to work tirelessly towards our shared goal of improving outcomes for children diagnosed with IPH.

Forever Grateful,

The Vazquez Family and Breath of Hope RI
