On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, Warwick Neck Elementary’s PTA once again earned the esteemed designation as a “National PTA School of Exellence” by the National PTA and in association with the RI State PTA.
This is the second time in only four years that the school has received this recognition - and it is currently the only school in Rhode Island to earn this designation again during 2025.
Warwick Neck parent and PTA member, Tina Langill, and Warwick Neck Principal, Frank Galligan, worked together on the year-long self-study of the school’s PTA as required by the National PTA. Langill and Galligan solicited feedback from the community twice over the school year and used the information collected to not only inform and guide PTA discussions, but enact communication initiatives that resulted in the growth of programs and an increase in volunteers and PTA membership.
Upon receiving the news, Mr. Galligan remarked: “I am beyond proud of the work our PTA Board and members have undertaken for the benefit of our school community and most especially for our kids. Undoubtedly, when teacher, parent and family involvement is strong, our school is strong. I am grateful to the National PTA for acknowledging the hard work of so many people in our community that undoubtedly enhances the Warwick Neck experience for our students, teachers, and families.”
As a National PTA School of Excellence, Warwick Neck will continue to build upon the great programs it already has, while being eligible for grants and other beneficial opportunities with the National PTA.
