This Friday, October 20th, Warwick Neck Elementary has declared a "Fantastic Friday" to bring awareness of -- and support bringing cures to -- numerous illnesses involving people we know and love. How FANTASTIC would it be if we could finally rid the world of these ailments?

Each class has a color dedicated to a particular illness, which has impacted a teacher, student, or family within that particular grade level recently.

Students are invited to wear their color (or a similar color) to show support for individuals with these conditions. Likewise, they are welcome to wear an accessory or different color for someone they know who is battling a particular cancer on Friday, too.

Grade K - Dark Blue (Colon Cancer)

Grade 1 - Pink (Breast Cancer)

Grade 2 - Teal (Ovarian Cancer) and/or Green (Lymphoma and Liver Cancers)

Grade 3 - Purple (Pancreatic and Testicular Cancers)

Grade 4 - Teal (Ovarian Cancer) and/or Green (Lymphoma and Liver Cancers)

Grade 5 - Orange (Leukemia)

Specialist Instructors, Support Staff, Volunteers, and Administration - Yellow (Bone Cancer), Light Blue (Prostate Cancer), Red (Blood Cancer), and/or White (Lung Cancer).

As you may recall, Faculty and Staff dress down each Friday for charity. This week is no exception and this time around our funds will be donated to the American Cancer Society

Students and families are invited to optionally contribute any amount they'd like to join the faculty in helping the efforts. Any money brought to school should be placed in a Ziploc bag or sealed envelope and labeled  "Color Day Donations." As always, participation in the Class Colors Day by dressing in the designated color -- or donating -- is completely optional.

Please see the official Spirit Week Flyer for how we are promoting school spirit and positive initiatives all week!
