Color Run

WARWICK, Rhode Island – Frank Galligan, Principal of Warwick Neck Elementary School, found himself covered in silly string before 300 kids during student lunches on Friday, May 9th -- and again covered with colored powder to start the school's annual Color-A-Thon in front of hundreds of school families on Saturday morning, May 10th, at the Bend Street Field Complex.

Students who had the honor of covering the Principal, both Friday and Saturday, earned the right to do so by joining the "500 Club" and raising $500 (or more) for the school fundraiser. "This has become synonymous with springtime; right up there with extra recess and field trips" says Galligan. "On behalf of the student population who directly benefits from any funds received, I am very appreciative to our business sponsors, the PTA, and also the kids who have gone out and raised so much money to help improve educational and student life experiences at Warwick Neck Elementary."

Congratulations to the following Warwick Neck School students who earned the privilege to silly string and chalk their principal this year:

Josiah Jorge, Aurora Burdick, Javien Cabral, Stella Johnston, Mateo Rosa, Scarlett Walsh, Timothy Xiong, Matthew Clifford, Jackson Wolfenden, Anna-Sophia Vargas, Mason Johnston, and Lawson Desjarlais.
